Laminated Products

As a result of document L of the building regulations and having listened to the requirements of our customers we at Architectural Products now offer a comprehensive range of laminated panels and insulated flashings that will complement any cladding, curtain walling or patent glazing system.

Architectural Products bonded panels are all factory produced in a controlled environment ensuring quality checks are performed at various stages of manufacture. The strength of the panel is gained during the bonding process. By using moisture resistant adhesives and an insulated core to meet the customer’s specification the panels are cured using extreme pressure in a vacuum press that produces a composite panel of the highest quality.

Insulation Core

There are many different types of insulation core available for use within a composite panel however Styrofoam has been found to provide the best performance and is a popular insulation core that Architectural Products use in some of their panel and insulated flashing manufacture.  We also offer Phenolic and Class A1 insulation and hard edge.

Styrofoam Criteria

• Good insulation values
• Slow aging process
• Very low absorption of water
• High compressive strength
• Smooth surface ideal for laminating

Polyester Powder Coated Aluminium

Aluminium sheet polyester powder coated to BS 6496 can be bonded to the insulation core to a thickness to suit the glazing system or with a rebated edge if U-values dictate a thicker insulation. Panels can be manufactured using aluminium sheet varying in thickness from 1.2mm to 3mm depending on the panel size and application.

The polyester powder coating of the panels gives an unlimited choice of colours with most giving guarantees of 25 years with regular maintenance and provides customers with a durable, versatile and cost effective panel.
